The Synthos Flagship

A real-money model portfolio, tracked live against the S&P 500 from its inception on July 4, 2026. No paper trading. No curve-fitted backtest. My own money, public positions, and one honest line on a chart that goes up or down for everyone to see.

This is the proving ground for everything Synthos does. If the research adds an edge, it should show up here — net of the market, in public, over time. If it doesn't, you'll see that too.

The pledge

Most research services sell you a beautiful backtest — a portfolio reverse-engineered to look brilliant in hindsight, then quietly never updated. We're doing the opposite:

  • Real money. I'm funding the Flagship personally. Skin in the game — I lose when you would have lost.
  • Forward-tracked. The clock starts July 4, 2026. Every data point after that is live, not reconstructed.
  • Public positions. The holdings, the weights, and the running return versus the S&P are all on the table.
  • No cherry-picking. We will not swap in winners after the fact or restate the start date. The line is the line.

What we are not doing — full disclosure

Honesty cuts both ways, so here's the unflattering part. If you took today's twelve holdings and pretended you'd held them, equal-weight, since January 1, 2026, the basket would have lagged the S&P this year — roughly +1.6% versus +8.6%, about seven points behind.

We're telling you that on purpose. A flattering backtest is the easiest thing in the world to manufacture, and the fact that ours isn't flattering is the point: we're not building a marketing artifact, we're starting a real, forward track record. The only performance number that will ever count here is the one that accrues after July 4 — live.

How it's built

Equal-weight, buy-and-hold, diversified across three sleeves — a balanced expression of the research rather than a concentrated bet:

Sleeve Holdings The idea
Quality compounders LLY · AMGN · ISRG Proven businesses in the diseases of aging — durable revenue, real moats
AI exponentials & software NVDA · META · ORCL · NOW · QCOM Where genuine AI adoption is compounding, not just narrated
Cheap-for-growth VLO · OXY · FANG · NEM Screen leaders: positive forward growth at a discount the market is ignoring

Twelve names, weighted equally, rebalanced rarely. The construction is deliberately simple so the research — not leverage, not trading, not survivorship — is what's being measured.

Track it live

From July 4, 2026, this page carries the running Synthos Flagship line against the S&P 500, updated regularly. Watch it climb, watch it stumble — either way, in public.

Live tracking begins July 4, 2026 — 4 days from today. The chart and the running return appear here the moment the real-money clock starts.
